Kopps är enstaka svenskfilm såsom hade biopremiär i land den 7 februari, inom regi från Josef Fares med bland andra Fares Fares, Torkel Petersson, Sissela Kyle samt Göran Ragnerstam i huvudrollerna.
Handling
[redigera | redigera wikitext]Polisen Jacob samt hans kollegor har ej mycket för att göra inom den lilla byn Högboträsk. De flesta dagarna tillbringar de tillsammans med att dryck kaffe, förtära varmkorv samt jaga åtgärda kor. Lugn och ro är drömmen för varenda polis, dock för dem svenska myndigheterna är bristen på brottslingar en anledning till för att stänga den lokala polisstationen i Högboträsk. Nu måste de komma på en sätt för att rädda situationen.

Filmen producerades av Memfis Film inom samproduktion tillsammans Film inom Väst samt danska Zentropa och tillsammans med en ekonomisk plan på runt 22 miljoner kronor[6]. Filmen spelades in till stora delar inom Bäckefors inom Dalsland. Några scener spelades även in i Dals-Rostock, Håverud, Mellerud och Ed.[7][8]

The Fares family is well on form in Kopps, the second film by the Swedish-Lebanese talent Josef Fares. Brother Fares Fares plays Jakob, one of the protagonists, and also Father Fares has a humorous supporting role. Anyone who has seen Josef Fares&#; début film Jalla! Jalla! knows what to expect: a comedy filled with pace and romance. This time Fares also makes effective use of special effects. Many spectacular fight scenes and bullets that bore their way through the air in slow motion (à la The Matrix). Exactly as it should be in a police film and therefore also in a parody of is only one minor problem for the cops in Kopps: crime in their village just doesn&#;t seem to get off the ground. The activities of the police force in Hogbodorna mainly consist of breakfast (hotdog waffles) coffee drinking coffee (with hotdog waffles), lunch (&#;) and lots and lots more coffee.
